Curriculum

She was born in Santiago, Chile, in 1963.

 

Teresita studied a degree on Design and Arts at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (1982-1985).

 

In 2005, she joined the Huara Huara ceramics studio and participated in different seminars together with Akio Takamori, Rafa Pérez, Gustavo Pérez and Martha Pachon.

 

Parallel to that, she began to work with stoneware and porcelain.  In 2008, she founded with Mariana Wieland her own workshop of ceramic called , “Objeto de Arte” (Object of Art), where Teresita began giving pottery classes and still does. 

In 2016, she was awarded first place in the "X Biennial Artistic Ceramic" Valparaíso, Chile.

 

In 2017, she has been selected to represent Chile in the "Revelations"  biennial, Grand Palais, Paris , France.

 

Besides pottery classes, she has a permanent exhibition of works in stoneware and porcelain.
